About Bruno

Bruno is Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Beijing Office. A Canadian national, he joined the firm in 1999 and leads our Principal Investors Practice in Greater China. Bruno has served private equity, sovereign wealth and pension funds from around the globe along the entire transaction lifecycle, including fundraising, deal sourcing, commercial due diligence and portfolio company improvement. Over the years, Bruno has led a number of research efforts about principal investing. He recently co-authored Private Equity Asia-Pacific 2011: Rebounds, glocalization and other tales, a review of the PE activity in the region. His research has been quoted by The New York Times, Bloomberg and China Daily, among others.

Recent Engagements

Recent engagements include helping a Chinese PE firm raise and close its first USD-denominated fund, introducing it to LPs managing ~$2 trillion ; writing the 3-year business plan for a new $200B sovereign wealth fund, covering strategy, organization and governance ; and working with an Asian investor to source commodities sector transactions, leading to $8 billion in deals

Education

Bruno holds a MBA from the London Business School and a BA in Journalism & Economics from Laval University. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked at Schroders in London and AXA in Canada.
