About Jin

Jin advises state-owned Chinese enterprises, central government ministries, and multinational firms on issues pertaining to the strategic development of their talent and leadership capabilities. She is currently conducting an in-depth study that is examining issues facing Chinese companies today with regard to talent and leadership development.

As the head of McKinsey’s Women’s Initiative in China, Jin leads the firm’s training programs for women and provides personal coaching and mentoring women consultants. As the most senior Chinese woman Partner at McKinsey, she serves as an inspirational role model for women at the firm. She co-leads McKinsey’s Young Women Leaders Initiative, a unique program that provides tailored coaching and mentoring programs for outstanding young women at China’s top universities.

Jin speaks regularly at prestigious forums in China on topics pertaining to leadership development, marketing, and other management issues. She recently authored a white paper that addresses the talent and leadership issues that Chinese companies will face in the context of the nation’s 12th Five-Year Plan.

Education

Born in China, Jin earned her doctorate in economics from the California Institute of Technology. She lives with her husband and two children in Beijing.
